For those wanting the very best auxiliary lighting, the 900XS HID (High Intensity Discharge) is the answer. Instead of a globe with a filament, HID uses a quartz tube containing pressurized xenon gas with metal electrodes, which fire an arc of plasma to create light. The tube contains chemicals to increase the pressure and manage the arc when lit, this requires high voltages which are generated via the ballast and managed by the igniter pack.
Features:
- Available in spot or driving beam
- Super tough, heavy gauge steel body
- Advanced heatproof resin reflector
- Reflector surface and design optimised to bulb design for ultimate performance
- Hardened glass lens
- HID technology provides an incredibly powerful, yet energy efficient ‘whiter’ light
- Spot beam: 875,000cd - 60 diffusion angle for long range performance
- Driving beam: 165,000cd - 250 diffusion angle for great light spread
- Reinforced multi directional mounting system
