Core Series Reverse Backing Alert System
When reversing, four sensors send ultrasonic waves four times
per second that detect an obstacle behind vehicle. The controller
receives signal and transmits to speaker and optional LED display.
A speaker with a 16 foot cable emits long intermittent beeps
when an object is within 6 feet of the vehicle. As the vehicle
moves closer to the obstacle, the beep increases in frequency.
When vehicle is 1 foot away or closer from the obstacle, the
speaker emits a continuous sound.
Power is supplied by tapping into reverse lights; system is
activated only when vehicle is in reverse.
